M4A to text, voice memos included
iPhone Voice Memos and most phone recorders save M4A. Drop one into the side panel and read what was said, with a timestamp on every line.
- How it works
- 1Copy the recording to your computer (AirDrop, iCloud Drive, a cable).
- 2Open Audio Transcriber, choose File and drop it.
- 3Make notes, translate or download the text.
Notes in one click
A short overview, the main points and the action items, each pointing to its moment.
Ask the recording
Ask what was decided or who said what; the answer links to the minute it was said.
Clean text
“Clean up” hides um, uh and repeated words without changing the rest.
Questions
Does every M4A work?+
M4A files with AAC, MP3, Opus or FLAC audio work; that covers phone recorders and iPhone Voice Memos. Apple Lossless (ALAC) is not supported yet.
Is the recording uploaded?+
The file is not uploaded. Its speech audio is compressed and sent in short parts to make the transcript; your library stays in your browser.
