  1. 1Click the puzzle icon in the Chrome toolbar.
  2. 2Click the pin next to Audio Transcriber.
  3. 3Click the amber icon on any tab to open the side panel.

Shortcut: Alt + Shift + Y; on Mac Control + Shift + Y

Your first transcript

A tab that plays sound

Go to the tab with the podcast, lecture or call, click the Audio Transcriber icon there, press the red button.

Your microphone

Choose Microphone in the panel. Chrome asks once for the microphone in a tab; allow it and press Start.

A file

Choose File and drop an MP3, M4A, WAV or a video. Close the panel if you like; it keeps working.

Then open the recording for its notes, questions, translation and downloads. Questions? Write to us.
